Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley is committed to transparency and strong financial stewardship.

 

Our most recent independent audit included a qualified opinion that was limited solely to the availability of some historical documentation needed to validate donor intent for a portion of public contributions received during the fiscal year. The qualification did not reflect any misuse, misallocation, or improper spending of funds. All contributions were received lawfully and used exclusively to advance our mission and support the programs for which they were designated.

 

Importantly, the auditors confirmed that our financial statements are otherwise fairly presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and the qualification did not relate to cash balances, expenses, program delivery, or the use of funds.

 

Since that time, we have strengthened our donation intake, documentation, and record‑retention processes to ensure full compliance and clarity going forward. We remain committed to continuous improvement and accountability to our donors, partners, and community.
