مهمتنا
تتمثل مهمة Community Action Lehigh Valley في تحسين نوعية الحياة من خلال بناء مجتمع يتمتع فيه جميع الأشخاص بإمكانية الوصول إلى الفرص الاقتصادية والقدرة على متابعة تلك الفرصة وإبداء الرأي في القرارات التي تؤثر على حياتهم.
لماذا عمل المجتمع؟
وكالات العمل المجتمعي (CAA) هي منظمات خاصة غير ربحية أو عامة شجعت الحكومة الفيدرالية على تطويرها في عام 1964 لمكافحة الفقر في مجتمعاتها المحلية. وهي تشرك جميع قطاعات المجتمع - المسؤولين المنتخبين وممثلي القطاع العام ، وخاصة السكان ذوي الدخل المنخفض - في تطوير البرامج التي تعالج أسباب وظروف الفقر في مجتمعاتهم.

قابل مجلس العمل المجتمعي الخاص بنا
الهيئة الإدارية للمؤسسة هي مجلس الإدارة. يتولى مجلس الإدارة الإشراف والرقابة وتوجيه شؤون المؤسسة.
ما لا يقل عن ثلث أعضاء مجلس الإدارة يمثلون المنظمات التي يعينها المجلس والتي تتكون عضويتها في الغالب من الأشخاص ذوي الدخل المنخفض. يتم اختيارهم وفقًا لإجراءات الاختيار الديمقراطية الكافية للتأكد من أنهم يمثلون ذوي الدخل المنخفض في المنطقة التي يخدمها Community Action. لا يلزم أن يكونوا هم أنفسهم من ذوي الدخل المنخفض ، لكن إجراءات الاختيار تؤكد أنهم يمثلون الأشخاص ذوي الدخل المنخفض.
ثلث أعضاء مجلس الإدارة إما موظفين عموميين منتخبين يشغلون مناصب حاليًا أو يمثلونهم. ما تبقى من أعضاء مجلس الإدارة هم أفراد.
