Two Community Action Affiliates Honored in Forty Under 40 List!

Congratulations are in order! We are so proud to announce that not one, but two, Community Action Lehigh Valley affiliates have been named Honorees for Lehigh Valley Business’s Forty Under 40 award: Jessica Reimert, our Deputy Executive Director of Operations, and Sandra Bieber, Community Action Lehigh Valley Board Member (and Development Chair) and Operations and Community Development Manager for Discover Lehigh Valley. The Forty Under 40 awards recognizes the future leaders of the Lehigh Valley who are under the age of 40. These individuals are not only achieving success in their careers, but giving back in meaningful ways to the Lehigh Valley community.

The Leadership Team at CALV nominated Jessica Reimert, MPA, for the Forty Under 40 recognition. Over her 11 years at CALV, Jess has risen from Human Resources Coordinator to Deputy Executive Director for Operations. Her leadership was pivotal during the transition from longtime Executive Director Alan Jennings to Dawn Godshall, maintaining institutional knowledge and ensuring a smooth shift. Jessica's upbringing in rural Pennsylvania gave her a deep understanding of the challenges faced by many in our community, fueling her commitment to CALV’s mission of providing economic opportunities and a voice to the underserved. As a mother of three, she balances family and professional responsibilities, bringing empathy to her role. With a Master's in Public Administration and over a decade of leadership experience, Jessica excels in finance, strategic planning, HR, and fundraising, making her an invaluable asset to CALV.

Sandra was nominated by the President & CEO of Discover Lehigh Valley, Alex Michaels, and mentioned, “I genuinely feel so blessed to have the opportunity to do incredible work with my colleagues at Discover Lehigh Valley, especially our work with the Lehigh Valley Ambassador Program. My career has been a long, winding road, filled with detours and change. I have had many celebrations and also failures, which always set me up for better things. This is your sign to KEEP GOING and never quit.”
